Boston secured its 18th NBA title after a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

The team partied all night after defeating the Mavs 102-88 on Monday at TD Garden.

Stevens was among those who enjoyed the celebrations as Boston ended a 16-year title drought.

“Let’s enjoy tonight,” Stevens told reporters Monday after Boston’s 18th title.

“But that practice tomorrow should be fun.”

Stevens was as good as his word, with executives back at the Auerbach Center on Tuesday morning to greet six potential candidates.

Several office employees “didn’t sleep at all” after the raucous celebrations, for The Boston Globe.

“This is peak Boston – let’s do it again next year,” laughed one fan in response.

“It’s all around 19!” said another.

“Champions never sleep,” declared a third.

“The board will irrationally fall asleep or fall in love with these perspectives, with no middle ground,” joked a fourth.

The Celtics currently have two picks in this year’s draft, which takes place on June 26th.

They are ranked 30th overall and also ranked 54th (via Dallas) in the second round.

Stevens was named NBA Executive of the Year in April after the Celtics won a league-leading 64 games in the regular season.

He was instrumental in bringing stars Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to the organization last offseason.

What does the new TV deal mean for the NBA?

By US Sun Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

The new television rights deal promises to be a big win for NBA players.

The league is expected to more than double revenue from its media partners, pocketing around $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap increase in 2025-26.

This will cause the value of players’ contracts to skyrocket.

Projected numbers suggest we could see the first $100 million per year deal being signed soon.

Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown is currently set to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, bringing in $65.1 million in 2028-29.

It seems like basketball fans would be on the losing side of the fight if the NBA and TNT actually split.

Inside the NBA is a unique sports entertainment program, as evidenced by ESPN’s continued failure to create its own version of the show in recent years.

The NBA won’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s endless fights every Tuesday night.

“We’ve all watched the team the last few years,” Celtics majority owner Wyc Grousbeck said Monday.

“Great teams, but we’re not there yet.

“Brad was brilliant – we knew we needed to make changes. And he did it.”

The Celtics now have the most NBA titles of any franchise.

Their 18th title puts them ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers on the all-time list.
