BOSTON Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has resumed an open-door policy for former players and coaches ahead of the championship season.

“I hope each and every Celtic feels they can go to any training session or game and be part of it,” Mazzulla told NBC Sports Boston about your plan.

But apparently not everyone was included.

Celtics announcer Brian Scalabrine revealed Kendrick Perkins would not be welcomed like many other former stars.

“No, no, no, no, no, no,” Scalabrine said when asked if Perkins was at the party after the NBA Finals.

“Big scarlet letter. It’s not really an open arms thing with Kendrick Perkins,” he added in his SiriusXM Radio Show The Starting Lineup.

Perkins spent the first eight seasons of his NBA career with the Celtics.

He was the starting center on Boston’s 2008 championship-winning team.

The former star has since become a high-profile analyst at ESPN with a reputation for not holding back criticism.

Perkins said Jayson Tatum “looked really scared” during a game in 2022.

He also referred to Mazzulla as a bird brain in January and questioned the Celtics before the NBA Finals.

Parkins was also not at the championship parade on Friday.

Jaylen Brown clapped back at ESPN host Stephen A. Smith by wearing a special shirt.

Brown helped the Celtics win a record 18th NBA title with a victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

And he wore a shirt with the words “State Your Source.”

This refers to comments Smith made on-air about Brown last month.

“I wanted to read to you what an NBA source just sent me,” Smith said during the Eastern Conference Finals.

NBA Finals Schedule

Thursday, June 6 – Game 1 – Dallas Mavericks 89-107 Boston Celtics

Sunday, June 9th – Game 2 – Dallas Mavericks 98-105 Boston Celtics

Wednesday, June 12 – Game 3 – Boston Celtics 106-99 Dallas Mavericks

Friday, June 14 – Game 4 – Boston Celtics 84-122 Dallas Mavericks

Mon, June 17 – Game 5 – Dallas Mavericks 88-106 Boston Celtics

(Boston Celtics won 4-1)

“He said, ‘Jaylen Brown, it’s not so much that he’s underrated, it’s that he’s just not liked because of his I’m-better-than-you attitude. He knows that. It’s the same reason he’s not as marketable how much he should be.

“This is what an NBA source just sent me.”

A clearly angry Brown took to X later that day and wrote “State your source.”

Brown sparked dating rumors after he was spotted with WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick at the team’s championship parade.

NBA fans spotted Gondrezick sitting next to Brown as his boat sailed along the parade route.
