LOS Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick is wrapping up his podcast with LeBron James.
The 40-year-old launched Mind The Game alongside four-time NBA champion LeBron earlier this year.
Redick was named head of the Lakers on Monday after a lengthy search for the organization.
LeBron and his new coach discussed all things basketball on the popular pod, which had more than 650,000 subscribers on YouTube.
“For now, and hopefully for a long, long time, I am excommunicated from the content space,” Redick said, via ESPN.
“So there will be no podcast. For now, I’m done podcasting.”
Redick, a former NBA star and ESPN analyst, debuted the pod with James in March.
He signed a four-year contract with the Lakers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Despite having access to one of basketball’s all-time greats, Redick revealed he didn’t speak to LeBron as speculation grew.
“He didn’t give any advice,” Redick continued.
“LeBron and I didn’t talk about the Lakers job until Thursday afternoon, about 30 minutes after I was offered the job.
“And that was very intentional on both sides.”
The Lakers initially coveted Dan Hurley, current coach of the NCAA champion UConn Huskies.
Hurley turned down a six-year, $70 million offer to stay with the Huskies and make a historic three-peat next season.
“Throughout this [Hurley saga]At no point were my ego or feelings hurt or hurt in any way,” Redick added.
“Dan Hurley is a two-time national champion at UConn.
“I’m a two-time 55 Swish League champion in the third and fourth grade division. Like, I get it, you know? I get it.”
Time for LeBron to retire?

“At the end of the day, I hate to say it, but I believe it in my soul right now: I wish LeBron James would retire.
“Not because I don’t want to see more LeBron James, not because I don’t appreciate LeBron James.
“But I honestly believe that deep down, the longer LeBron James continues to play basketball, the more it will hurt his legacy and the more it will continue to hurt his GOAT argument.
“As long as he steps on that floor, every season, there will be expectations that he will win a championship.
“And when he doesn’t, we’ll be looking at him and saying, ‘Well, what happened now?’”
ESPN star Kendrick Perkins speaking on First Take about LeBron James’ future in the NBA
Redick joins the Lakers with LeBron’s future with the franchise still uncertain.
James has until June 29 to decide whether he will pick up his $51 million player option or opt out and become a free agent.
LeBron, 39, won his fourth ring with the Lakers in 2020.
But the team has not lived up to expectations since then.
They finished with a 47-35 regular season record last year before losing in the first round of the postseason to the Denver Nuggets.
