LAKERS star Anthony Davis was quick to play down injury fears after a scare in Sunday’s regular season finale.

Davis, 31, left the game against the New Orleans Pelicans in a worrying scenario for fans.

Los Angeles will play in the NBA play-in tournament on Tuesday and will feature its big star.

Davis lasted 33 minutes in Sunday’s 124-108 win over the Pelicans before being forced out.

But Davis has no doubts about his status for this week’s play-in tournament.

Los Angeles will face New Orleans once again, this time in a 7 vs. 8 battle, with the winner going to the playoffs.

And Davis said: “There’s no doubt I’m going to play (Tuesday).

“Just see what the rest of the day is like; I’ll have to get massages, get some treatment and keep myself loose.

“See how I feel in the next 24, 36 hours and get ready for Tuesday.”

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that Davis had spasms in his back and hips.

He was pushed into the air by Larry Nance Jr. and landed awkwardly.

Lakers coach Darvin Ham said the situation was “not serious at all” and was “extremely optimistic” that Davis would be available on Tuesday.

Paul Pierce says Bronny James should enter the NBA Draft this year and proposes a bold trade to give the Lakers a ‘shock’

Davis accused Nance Jr. of a “dangerous” play after the game.

He said: “He gave me a little push in the back.

“My back got stuck in me. Nothing worrying.

“I was in the air. So obviously it’s a dangerous move.

“I know he is not a dirty player. But I’m in the air and then I’m pushed in the back.

“It just hangs. Nothing to worry me about, though.”

Davis expects to participate in Tuesday’s return matchup with the Pelicans, given the stakes.

I was in the air. So obviously it’s a dangerous move. I know he’s not a dirty player. But I’m in the air and then I’m pushed in the back.

The winner will secure seventh place in the Western Conference and a series against the second-place Denver Nuggets.

The loser will face either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings in an elimination game on Friday night.

Denver is the defending NBA champion and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0 in the Western Conference Finals en route to the title.
