ESPN analyst Adrian Wojnarowski dismissed criticism of Bronny James’ arrival at the Los Angeles Lakers.

The youngster will join his iconic father LeBron in California after being selected with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Some accused Bronny, 19, of benefiting from nepotism.

But Wojnarowski insists the problem existed long before the Jameses joined forces in Los Angeles.

“I don’t want to hear the accusations, people talking about nepotism,” Wojnarowski said in the coverage of the Project.

“The NBA is full of nepotism. In terms of ownership, front offices, coaching.

“I don’t want to hear about this – all of a sudden – because Bronny James’ dad plays for the Lakers.

“It’s rampant in this league.”

Bronny entered the draft after one season at USC.

He played in 25 games and made six starts for the Trojans – averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

LeBron always wanted to play with his son in what would be his first time in the NBA.

The 39-year-old greatest of all time just finished his 20th season in the league.

Bronny’s younger brother, Bryce, posted a clip on Instagram of the former USC star’s reaction to being chosen.

The Lakers rookie, who wore a maroon suit, was seen with tears in his eyes as mom Savannah gave him a Lakers hat to wear.

“Beyond blessed,” he posted on Instagram.

Bronny suffered cardiac arrest during a college workout.

He was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.

The family decided not to travel to New York for the Draft and held a barbecue for family and friends in Los Angeles.

The US Sun has learned that everything from the moment his name is called to his first days on his new team will be filmed by a team of James and business partner Maverick Carter’s SpringHill media company.

The plan will be to release a documentary about Bronny, with LeBron in the main role.

“Bronny wasn’t invited to the Green Room, which would have given LeBron and company the ability to participate in the first round of the Draft, so the family decided to have a party at home,” an NBA source told The US Sun.

“Bronny’s favorite food is barbecue and everyone will enjoy some nice drinks with some loved ones, both family and friends of his from high school and USC.

“It should be a great night.”
