The Los Angeles Lakers have revealed Bronny James’ jersey number and new name on the back.
The Lakers revealed the look of 19-year-old rookie Bronny rocking his new jerseys – and NBA fans can’t get enough of it.
Los Angeles selected the former USC Trojans guard and the son of LeBron James in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday.
Bronny and LeBron became the first father-son duo to be on the same team in the NBA history.
On Friday, the Lakers revealed that Bronny will wear number 9 on his team.
His nameplate reads “James Jr.”

Los Angeles also showed Bronny wearing the topics.
NBA fans believe the NBA icon’s son will be a star in the league.
“This number already has an aura”, commented one.
“James Jr hits differently,” wrote another.
“Legend in marking”, added a third.
Bronny peaked at No. 6 with USC last season.
However, that number has been retired throughout the NBA in honor of the late, great Bill Russell.
Bronny wore number 8 in high school, but that number belongs to teammate Jalen Hood-Schifino.
He has the number 9 tattooed on his body and ‘999’ tattooed behind his ear in honor of the late rapper WRLD Juice.
Bronny will be the 16th player in Lakers franchise history to wear the number.
Previous Los Angeles players to wear number 9 include point guard Nick Van Exel, forward Matt Barnes and guard Rajon Rondo.
Bronny will have “Jr.” on the back,” which could lead LeBron to add “Mr.” to his jersey.
After the Lakers revealed Bronny’s No. 9 jersey, LeBron commented on the development.
“SPEECHLESS!!” James said on your Instagram story with a photo of Bronny in his new uniform.
Bronny’s younger brother, Bryce, shared a video on Instagram of the former USC Star’s reaction to being drafted.
Tiago family held a draft party in Los Angeles on Thursday as the room erupted in applause after the young man was selected.
Bronny, who was wearing a brown suit, was seen holding back tears as his mother, Savannah, gave him a Lakers hat to wear.
