After canceling the deal, it was reported that LeBron would be willing to take a pay cut to help improve the Lakers’ roster.

James’ agent, Rich Paul, explained that he is willing to do anything to help the team win.

“He’s prioritizing improving the squad,” Paul told ESPN.

“He has been adamant about making every effort to improve the squad.”

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the pay cut could reach more than $20 million.

Another ESPN insider isn’t so sure about the reasons behind the pay cuts.

Kendrick Perkins bets LeBron would accept less money because he wants to win one more ring.

“I’m willing to bet my left toe that LeBron James won’t take a pay cut for the future of the Lakers,” Perkins said.

“That’s it for now. LeBron James wants to win now. LeBron James knows the pressure he’s under.

“It’s not because of the future of the Lakers, it’s because LeBron wants another chance.

Bronny James chokes back tears in emotional NBA Draft moment, as LeBron’s son breaks silence on LA Lakers draft

“To be honest with you, they weren’t that far off last year when you think about it.”

Fans divided opinions on LeBron’s potential pay cut and shared options for players the Lakers could sign.

“He’s doing everything he can to get Bronny the championship,” said one fan.

“They never won a ring,” said another fan.

What does the new TV deal mean for the NBA?

By US Sun Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

The new television rights deal promises to be a big win for NBA players.

The league is expected to more than double revenue from its media partners, pocketing around $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap increase in 2025-26.

This will cause the value of players’ contracts to skyrocket.

Projected numbers suggest we could see the first $100 million per year deal being signed soon.

Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown is currently set to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, bringing in $65.1 million in 2028-29.

It seems like basketball fans would be on the losing side of the fight if the NBA and TNT actually split.

Inside the NBA is a unique sports entertainment program, as evidenced by ESPN’s continued failure to create its own version of the show in recent years.

The NBA won’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s endless fights every Tuesday night.

“You definitely want to add Harden to your team when looking for a ring,” said a third fan.

“Yes, Lebron has had a confirmed pay cut,” said a fourth fan.

LeBron will play alongside his son in the 2024-25 season if he resigns from the Lakers.

They drafted Bronny with the 55th overall pick in the draft.
