ANGEL Reese couldn’t contain her emotions after being selected for the WNBA All-Star Game.
The 22-year-old Chicago Sky rookie forward discovered her milestone on Tuesday night after her WNBA game.

Reese and the Sky defeated the Atlanta Dream on the road 85-77.
After the game, the 6-foot-2 rookie, who was named WNBA Rookie of the Month for June, received the award News that she was chosen for the All-Star team shortly before speaking to reporters.
“They just told me I’m an All-Star and I mean, I’m really happy. I know the work I did,” Reese said while crying at the press conference.
“Coming into this league, a lot of people doubted me and didn’t think my game would translate and that I wouldn’t be the player I was in college or better, or I would be worse and I wouldn’t be where I am now. “
Reese set a league record for consecutive double-doubles (13).
The 2024 No. 7 overall pick gave head coach Terese Weatherspoon credit for her breakout campaign.
“She meant everything to me,” Reese said of Coach Weatherspoon.
“I’ve had amazing coaches in my career, but this one is special.”
Reese finished his message by saying, “I can’t thank my teammates and coaches enough for believing in me and trusting me…I’m so happy right now.”
LSU product Reese will join a WNBA All-Star roster that includes longtime rival Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Dearica Hamby and A’Ja Wilson, among others.
Clark received the most votes (over 700,000), while Reese attracted 381,518 votes.
The two faced each other in the National Championship championship last season.
Last month, Clark was hit in the face by Reese during Indiana’s win over Chicago.
Reese and Clark will be part of a squad that plays against Team USA at a pre-Olympic event in Phoenix.

None of the newcomers were selected to the U.S. roster for the Paris Olympics later this month.
Reese leads the WNBA in rebounds (11.4).
Clark is third in the league in assists (6.9).
WNBA All-Star festivities are set for July 20 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.
The event will include a three-point competition and a skills challenge.
