LeBron is currently in Las Vegas, Nevada, training with Team USA ahead of the Paris Olympics.

The 39-year-old is preparing for his first visit to the Olympics since London in 2012.

But he still found time to check in on Bronny as his 19-year-old son made his Purple & Gold debut.

Bronny suited up against the Sacramento Kings as the Lakers began their Summer League campaign.

He played 22 minutes of 108-94, going 2 of 9 from the field and scoring 4 points.

The guard’s first bucket as a Laker came in the second quarter when Bronny entered the paint through traffic and finished an easy play.

LeBron watched his oldest son’s first goal for his new team on a cell phone at training camp.

“Come on, man, this is hard,” he exclaimed watching the clip, as Bronny made his layup.

“This is hard, let go!” an impressed LeBron added.

“It was just a tray,” shrugged one fan in response on X.

“Great day for Lakers nation!” countered another.

“Proud Dad moment, I love seeing that!” added a third.

Bronny struggled with his shot against the Kings, attempting five shots from outside the box but only making one.

He missed all three of his 3-point attempts and also made two free throws, adding 2 assists and a steal.

Despite his dismal statistics, the No. 55 overall pick took positives away from the experience.

Time for LeBron to retire?

“At the end of the day, I hate to say it, but I believe it in my soul right now: I wish LeBron James would retire.

“Not because I don’t want to see more LeBron James, not because I don’t appreciate LeBron James.

“But I honestly believe that deep down, the longer LeBron James continues to play basketball, the more it will hurt his legacy and the more it will continue to hurt his GOAT argument.

“As long as he steps on that floor, every season, there will be expectations that he will win a championship.

“And when he doesn’t, we’ll be looking at him and saying, ‘Well, what happened now?’”

“The atmosphere was more than I expected,” admitted Bronny.

“It’s a big game for me, but I didn’t know the people of Golden State would come and represent me, so it was really good to see that.

“My coach always told me to come down, especially because I’m a bigger guard.

“[He told me] use my body to create open lanes for myself and maybe open for Colin [Castleton] sometimes, but he was just telling me to be aggressive on the downhills because of my athleticism as well.”

Bronny is expected to suit up again for the Lakers against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night.
