USA Basketball’s official Twitter feed posted a selection of photos on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, as the team prepares for the Las Vegas Games.

“Man, we’re getting the band back together,” was the message that accompanied the photos.

The post has already attracted more than a million views.

And fans were quick to respond.

“Really the last legends ride we grew up on. It almost feels surreal,” said one fan.

“This team is loaded and I can’t wait to see them walk away,” said another fan.

“Irritated by how excited I am to watch this team,” a third fan posted.

“They have to win gold – and I think they will,” commented a fourth fan.

“So many legends – must be a great watch,” said a fifth fan.

In recent Games, several stars have tended to be left out of the action.

This Paris lineup is perhaps the best since the “Redeem Team” at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

The United States will be particularly determined to win gold in the basketball competition in Paris.

The USA finished just fourth in last year’s World Cup.

Germany beat Serbia in the final, while Canada beat the USA to take third place.
