PODCASTER Jason Whitlock claims the WNBA helped manufacture Angel Reese’s record-breaking double-double streak.

Chicago Sky rookie Reese extended the remarkable streak to 15 games against the New York Liberty on Thursday night.

The former Louisiana State forward finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the 91-76 loss.

Controversial analyst Whitlock attacked the WNBA during an extraordinary speech on his Fearless podcast before the game.

“The entire WNBA is in on the Angel Reese gimmick,” Whitlock said, per The Daily Mail.

Whitlock focused on one play in the final moments of Chicago’s win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday.

Reese was fouled with just seconds left despite the Sky being three possessions ahead.

The foul sent her to the free throw line, allowing her to score the point she needed to continue the double-double streak.

“The Atlanta Dream downed her for 3 possessions with 6 seconds left, just so Reese could keep the double-double streak alive,” Whitlock said.

“They were up seven points with 12 seconds to go.

“In 99.9% of games, the other team doesn’t even defend you.

“They let the time run out and everyone goes to the locker room.”

Whitlock stated that Reese receives preferential treatment from referees, as opposed to fellow newcomer Caitlin Clark.

The two are fighting to be Rookie Player of the Year, with Clark currently averaging 16.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.

“When I watch this clip, the referee appears to be involved,” he added.

“Because that whistle sounds really fast to me.

“You don’t have to call that foul. You don’t even have to commit that foul.”

“The WNBA desperately wants anyone but Caitlin Clark to be ROTY,” one X fan agreed.

“The Fever are easily the worst team in the league without Caitlin. In short,” said another.

“They rigged everything tonight to get their double double. Obvious and pathetic,” said a third.

“WWE is more believable than pro basketball, less scripted,” said a fourth.

“Angel has 14 double-doubles. What’s a game? And you didn’t watch because Angel already had the ball in his hand to score. Nobody had to knock it down,” countered a fifth.

Reese will try to maintain its historic streak on Saturday when the Sky (9-13) face the Liberty again at Wintrust Arena.
