The 33-year-old shared how he stays in shape with a series of videos on his Instagram Stories.
Included in his training were basketball exercises, weight training, and bodyweight training.
“Skip lunges,” he captioned one of the posts.
“Core strength training,” he captioned another post.
“Balance and strength training,” another was labeled.
Thompson previously described his hard work and training in a 2015 interview.
“It was a lot of work,” Thompson told Cleveland.com.
“I worked out daily. I did weight training every day and on the court in the morning and afternoon faithfully every day.
“I just wanted to keep defining my game and growing as a player to be ready.”
Thompson explained how his hard work culminated in performance on the court.
“This is what I worked for all summer,” he said.
“A lot of players, when they get to the NBA, they have to figure out what their niche is, and once you figure that out, it’s time to flourish.
“It’s like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. I’m going to keep developing my game.”
Thompson has been in the NBA a long time since that interview and has built a successful career.
