The NBA’s second overall pick is having some trouble adjusting to the league.

The Washington Wizards selected Alex Sarr as their first pick in the NBA Draft, but they didn’t get what they expected from him.

Sarr had a rough start to the NBA Summer League, but really turned heads after a zero-point performance on Tuesday night.

In 30 minutes on the court, Sarr shot 0 of 15 from the field and missed all seven of his attempts out of three.

The seven-footer also had a shot deflected by sixth-ranked Donovan Cligan in the Wizards’ 82-80 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. He recorded three turnarounds in losses.

The only positive side of Sarr’s performances was his defense, which shone despite a zero-point night.

He grabbed nine rebounds, four of them defensively, and blocked three shots.

Even so, the Wizards are looking for the offensive efficiency of Sarr, who recorded just 20 points in the first three games.

“It’s a game of ups and downs,” Sarr told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“I think I’m adapting very well.”

NBA fans were shocked by Sarr’s performance and took it as an opportunity to make Bronny James look better.

Bronny has also struggled to start his NBA career, but has yet to record a zero shooting percentage.

‘Bronny earned it’ JJ Redick hits back at critics after claiming he was drafted just because he’s LeBron James’ son

“Bronny James is better,” said one fan.

“This might be the worst statistic I’ve ever seen in my life,” said another fan.

“Let me see if you guys make the 2nd overall pick, how will you be at 55th,” said a third fan.

“Bronny is better than the #2 pick,” said a fourth fan.

Summer League hasn’t been bad news for the Wizards, as their second first-round pick is excellent.

What does the new TV deal mean for the NBA?

By US Sun Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

The new television rights deal promises to be a big win for NBA players.

The league is expected to more than double revenue from its media partners, pocketing around $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap increase in 2025-26.

This will cause the value of players’ contracts to skyrocket.

Projected numbers suggest we could see the first $100 million per year deal being signed soon.

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is currently set to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, bringing in $71.5 million in 2029-30.

It seems like basketball fans would be on the losing side of the fight if the NBA and TNT actually split.

Inside the NBA is a unique sports entertainment program, as evidenced by ESPN’s continued failure to create its own version of the show in recent years.

The NBA won’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s endless fights every Tuesday night.

The Wizards used the 14th pick to select Bub Carrington, who is excelling so far in Summer League.

The 18-year-old is averaging 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists through the first three games.

In the loss to the Trail Blazers, Carrington nearly recorded a triple-double, totaling 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

The Wizards also got solid production from their third first-round pick, Kyshawn George.

George was selected with the 24th pick and is averaging 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
