BRONNY James continues to follow in his father’s footsteps with the Los Angeles Lakers.
While competing in the NBA Summer League, Bronny did his first official photo shoot with the Lakers.

In the photo shoot, Bronny replicated some of his father’s iconic poses from his first session with the Lakers.
They even replicated the backgrounds used in LeBron’s photos in the photos taken for Bronny.
After being selected with the 55th pick in the NBA Draft, all eyes are on Bronny as he tries to establish himself in the league.
The USC product has big shoes to fill, with LeBron being his father, but he has yet to impress in Summer League.

In three games, Bronny has only managed to score 15 points on 6-of-26 shooting.
He also has yet to score three points during preseason games.
Lakers Summer League coach Dane Johnson downplayed Bronny’s struggles after the third game.
“He will have a long career,” he said.
“This is just the beginning. We just have to keep instilling confidence in them, keeping that in their heads.
“So we still have a long way to go.”
Bronny also downplayed his struggles, feeling like he’s just having a dip in performance.
“I feel like I’m in a bit of a crisis right now,” he said.
New Lakers coach JJ Redick also didn’t sound any alarms, instead focusing on the positive aspects of Bronny’s Summer League performance.
Redick praised the defensive effort Bronny has put in during the games.
Bronny fears
Bronny James struggled during Summer League – and fans began to worry about the rookie.
A social media clip of Bronny during an 88-74 loss to the Celtics went viral when the 2024 second-round pick also hit a three-point shot as time expired.
The 19-year-old didn’t do well in the contest, scoring just two points on 1 of 5 shots, three rebounds, one assist, two turnovers and three fouls.
“I really feel sorry for Bronny. this is BAD”, commented one of them.
“He must be nervous,” wrote another.
“It’s only going to get better from here,” said a third.
“We want him to pressure the ball,” Redick told ESPN.
“I told him yesterday, I said, ‘If you get hit, if you get 10 fouls, that’s on me. I want you to pressure the ball.'”
The Lakers are scheduled to play two more Summer League games, so Bronny doesn’t have many chances to prove he belongs on the NBA roster.
It’s possible he’ll start his career in the G-League, but I’ve said it’s okay to play there.
“I look forward to any basketball I play, no matter what level I’m playing at,” he said.
