She will join Jenny Boucek at the Indiana Pacers, Brittni Donaldson at the Atlanta Hawks and Sonia Raman at the Memphis Grizzlies as women’s coaches in the NBA.

Harding led the Stockton Kings to first place in the Western Conference and an appearance in the semifinals of the G League playoffs.

She was named G League Coach of the Year for her achievements.

The news was reported by ESPN Senior NBA Fellow Adrian Wojnarowski.

“Lindsey Harding – the G League Coach of the Year – has agreed to a deal to become an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers,” he posted on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

“Harding leaves the Kings to join JJ Redick, with whom he spent time on the Sixers staff and as a Duke All-American.”

Fans were quick to respond with their verdicts on the news.

“I don’t know what Redick is cooking but I’m going to let him cook it,” said one fan.

“This is exciting, great things are happening for the Lakers,” another fan posted.

“JJ is not kidding, this season will be great to watch,” commented a third fan.

‘Bronny earned it’ JJ Redick hits back at critics after claiming he was drafted just because he’s LeBron James’ son

“Wow, I didn’t expect that to happen,” said a fourth fan.

“Amazing job for Lindsey, good luck to her,” said a fifth fan.

The 2023-24 season ended disappointingly for the Lakers with a first-round playoff exit.

Darvin Ham was fired as head coach after two years in the role.

What does the new TV deal mean for the NBA?

By US Sun Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

The new television rights deal promises to be a big win for NBA players.

The league is expected to more than double revenue from its media partners, pocketing around $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap increase in 2025-26.

This will cause the value of players’ contracts to skyrocket.

Projected numbers suggest we could see the first $100 million per year deal being signed soon.

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is currently set to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, bringing in $71.5 million in 2029-30.

It seems like basketball fans would be on the losing side of the fight if the NBA and TNT actually split.

Inside the NBA is a unique sports entertainment program, as evidenced by ESPN’s continued failure to create its own version of the show in recent years.

The NBA won’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s endless fights every Tuesday night.

Redick stepped into the top role despite having no previous coaching experience.

He brought several veterans onto his staff, including longtime NBA coaches Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks.

Redick hosted the “Mind The Game” podcast with Lakers great LeBron James.

But he recently confirmed that this would end when he takes on this new role.

“For now, and I hope for a long, long time, I am excommunicated from the content space,” Redick said.

“So there will be no podcast. For now, I’m done podcasting.”
