PATRICK Mahomes couldn’t help but marvel at the play of WNBA star Arike Ogunbowale during the league’s All-Star Game.

Ogwunbowale won All-Star Game MVP and helped WNBA team surpass USA 117-109 on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old Ogwunbowale set an All-Star Game record with 34 points, all of which came in the second half.

She scored zero points at halftime, but scored an astonishing 21 points in the third quarter and 13 in the final quarter.

Ogwunbowale was named All-Star Game MVP, and Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes applauded the Dallas Wings guard in social media.

“Hey! @Arike_O is playing basketball!” the three-time Super Bowl champion wrote in the X.

Ogunbowale was an efficient 10-of-20 from the floor.

She made eight three-pointers on 13 attempts from deep.

Ogwunbowale stole the show while most eyes were on newcomer stars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

She took home her second WNBA All-Star Game MVP award.

Ogunbowale entered the game with a season average of 22.3 points per game.

She revealed after the game that the coach and former WNBA legend Cheryl Miller texted her at halftime after a scoreless first half.

“The coach called me at half-time,” said Ogunbowale, for Geoff Magliocchetti of Sports Illustrated.

“Told me to just play your game…you saw what happened.”

The Indiana Fever’s Clark finished the game with four points and 10 assists, while the Chicago Sky’s Reese scored 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Team USA was led by New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart, who scored 31 points and totaled 10 rebounds.

Las Vegas Aces star A’Ja Wilson recorded 22 points and six rebounds and veteran Diana Taurasi added 14 points.

The players on the WNBA team were those who were not selected to be part of the United States at the Paris Olympics.

Team USA will play its first match in Paris on July 29th when it will face Japan.

Clark and the rest of the WNBA stars will get a much-needed break.

They will be offline until August 15th.
