KENDRICK Perkins lost his status in the Boston Celtics organization after destroying the team.

Perkins was a Celtics legend, spending eight years with the team and winning a title in 2008, but everything has fallen apart in recent years.

Despite being a former player, Perkins was one of the Celtics’ biggest critics, and those on the team cannot forgive him for his repeated insults.

A Celtics front office source shared how Perkins lost his entire position within the organization.

“Perkins, he’s lost his status in Boston, that’s for sure,” the source told The US Sun.

“I really don’t understand why he feels the need to attack players and coaches and use these types of insulting words against people.

“He was one of the great guys in the history of the franchise, but now it’s over, he made a lot of mistakes and no one respects him here anymore.”

The NBA source went on to say that everyone within the organization was angered by Perkins’ attacks on the Celtics and that it is sad to see him do this to himself.

“People in the organization and front office have been really upset about what he’s been saying, and if you talk to the players about him… there’s no respect for him anymore,” the source continued.

“It’s a sad situation, but he kind of did it. You disrespect people and have to accept the consequences.

“I mean, you said bad things and you don’t even apologize or say you crossed the line?

“Come on, that’s not very smart, and I’ve seen a lot of people talking about this around town in the last few months, and showing their anger at what he said.

Boston Celtic branded ‘pathetic and embarrassing’ after banning former player Kendrick Perkins from duck boat parade

“I think it’s understandable and I don’t think he should appear at TD Garden for a while because he might be the first former Celtics player to be booed by fans.”

Even players on the Celtics roster have shared that they feel the bridge between Perkins and the team is burned.

“I mean, what did he expect?” the source told The US Sun.

“He criticizes the franchise and the players, uses bad words to criticize the coach, the players and expects to be respected in return?

“It doesn’t work like that, life doesn’t work like that. If you start a fire, expect to get burned.

“He’s come to try to play nice a lot of times, but I can call his bulls too quick, and that kind of behavior is very disrespectful.”

What does the new TV deal mean for the NBA?

By US Sun Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

The new television rights deal promises to be a big win for NBA players.

The league is expected to more than double revenue from its media partners, pocketing around $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap increase in 2025-26.

This will cause the value of players’ contracts to skyrocket.

Projected numbers suggest we could see the first $100 million per year deal being signed soon.

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is currently set to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, bringing in $71.5 million in 2029-30.

If TNT Sports successfully fulfills one of its bids to maintain its decades-long partnership with the league, basketball fans will also be on the winning side.

The network’s flagship Inside the NBA is a unique sports entertainment program, as evidenced by ESPN’s continued failure to present its own version of the show in recent years.

The NBA wouldn’t be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck’s endless fights every Tuesday night.

The player shared that Perkins is practically “hated” by some of the current Celtics roster members.

“We’re not stupid, we know the TV and the spotlight probably got into his head, but you can’t insult people and expect them to say hi to you or be nice to you,” the player added.

“I’m being polite, but there are other teammates of mine who hate him and have no respect for him.

“You can’t go on TV and insult people, calling them stupid and telling them they’re scared?

“Come on… I’m not the kind of guy who hates people, but Kendrick is someone I don’t respect.

“I don’t know if people here will forgive him, but I really don’t think he will be welcome at Celtic anymore.”
