After winning three NBA championships and being named an All-Star 13 times, Wade retired after the 2018 season.

The NBA Hall of Famer went on to work as a commentator for TNT from 2019 to 2022.

Wade invested in the Utah Jazz in 2021 before purchasing the WNBA’s Chicago Sky two years later.

Meanwhile, Eagle, son of legendary broadcaster Ian, has quickly risen through the ranks since graduating from Syracuse in 2019.

He worked as a college basketball broadcaster for CBS and Fox Sports between 2021 and 2023, when he moved to NBC to cover Big Ten basketball and Big Ten Saturday Night football.

Now Wade and Eagle are working side by side, and the results have fans excited about what is and could be to come.

“Dwyane Wade looks fantastic alongside Noah Eagle on the conference call,” one viewer tweeted.

“Dwyane Wade + Ian Eagle, the commentary couple we didn’t know we needed. Entertaining, informative, insightful and entertaining,” commented a second.

“These guys are great together. Don’t screw it up and overthink it. They’re a real number 1-2 team,” said another.

While a fourth added: “I’ve heard enough, let Noah Eagle and Dwyane Wade comment when NBC’s NBA deal begins.

“They’ve been really good!”

The mentioned business between the NBA and NBC, Disney/ESPN and Amazon Prime Video was announced on Wednesday.

Lasting 11 years, the agreement divides the league’s broadcasting rights between the three vehicles, starting in 2025.

In total, the deal is worth US$77 billion.

NBC, which last broadcast the NBA in 2022, received the second-largest package of 100 regular-season games.

The deal also includes All-Star Weekend, as well as about 28 Playoff games in the first and second rounds that will be split between NBC and its Peacock streaming service.

NBC and Amazon will also have the rights to one of the conference finals series on a rotating basis.

Whether or not Wade and Eagle appear in NBC’s plans for NBA coverage remains to be seen.

However, it seems safe to say that many fans who watched the Olympics made their thoughts very clear.

For now, though, the focus will remain on Paris, where the star-studded Team USA squad will make its debut on Sunday against Serbia.
