A FORMER world champion reckons Anthony Joshua’s clash with Daniel Dubois could end in a rush to the hospital.

AJ will challenge Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title next month in front of more than 80,000 fans at Wembley.

Defending champion Dubois will enter the domestic contest as a huge underdog due to his lack of experience against the division’s elite.

The 26-year-old was stopped by Oleksandr Usyk in the ninth round of his first world title fight last August.

Former WBC cruiserweight king Tony Bellew reckons the same fate befell Triple D, but in an even more devastating way.

The Bomber told Coin Poker: “I think Anthony Joshua knocked out Daniel Dubois in three rounds.

“Everything Daniel Dubois does well, Anthony Joshua does better.

“Daniel Dubois is a strong puncher, he has a heavy hand, but Anthony Joshua is stronger and faster.

“He was hit with 45 right hands in four rounds against Filip Hrgovic.

“He’ll get hit for three against Anthony Joshua and wake up in an ambulance. Anthony Joshua has dynamite in his gloves.

“Don’t get me wrong, Daniel Dubois is also a puncher, so he has a chance to punch, but I rate it 70-30, 80-20 in favor of Joshua.”

Dubois knows he will face a difficult task to retain the belt and hand AJ just his fourth career loss.

But he is looking forward to the challenge and ushering in a new era in British heavyweight boxing.

He said: “That’s exactly where I’m aiming, to fight the best and be the best.

“AJ has been the king for a long time and at night I need to become a kingslayer and that is my goal, that is the mission at hand.

“I’m learning more about myself as a fighter, as a person, coming out of the darkness into the light, improving as a fighter and as an athlete.

“I’m ready for it and ready to go.”

Joshua, 34, knows Dubois well, having sparred with him before and refuses to underestimate his chances of winning.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m not saying he’ll get the chance to do that on September 21st, because sometimes what you say comes into existence.

“But I’m not going to let that happen and I’m going to show how good I am.

“Whether it’s sparring or fighting in the ring, I won’t let anyone mistreat me or try to knock me out. No way.”
