The underdog’s fantastic performance saw him draw praise from Hearn, who has close ties to Haney.

And as the promoter greeted Garcia during a backstage interview, he was interrupted by the fighter’s father, Henry.

He passed by and shouted in a pornographic fit, “That’s what you get. You’re a piece of shit.”

Hearn responded: “Oh, really? Fuck you. Fuck you. What are you talking about?”

Garcia Sr then grabbed his private parts, making a rude gesture as he continued: “Fuck you, you know you’re a piece of shit and this is what you get.”

“Now, what are you going to say? Luke Campbell and Devin Haney, fuck you. Now, who do you have?”

Hearn responded with the name of welterweight title holder Jaron Ennis, who recently joined Matchroom Boxing.

And he managed to make the war of words stop instantly.

Garcia Sr then walked up to Hearn and shook his hand as they hugged.

He apologized for his outburst and the two were all smiles.

Hearn said: “It’s a sport and when you win I will give you all the respect you deserve. I accept your apology.”

He was then thanked by Garcia’s father as he revealed that he had just entered the 25-year-old Californian’s dressing room and congratulated him on the victory.

Fans reacted to the dispute: “The fastest meat of all time”.

Another added: “It doubled so quickly.”

A third commented: “But I respect Eddie.”

Despite his crushing victory in New York, Garcia did not win the WBC light welterweight title from Haney after missing weight for the competition.
