Inoue is now 27-0, but had a scare when he was knocked down in the first round.

It was the first time the bantamweight world champion had to get up from the canvas, but he responded spectacularly.

In the next round it was Inoue’s turn to deliver a big blow when he hit Nery with a left hook.

He threw a similar kick in the fifth to stun his opponent once again, with Nery looking hurt by the blow.

In the following round, Inoue continued to play with the Mexican, with his lightning speed allowing him to dodge punches before delivering a knockout from which Nery could not get up.

Fans were amazed by his knockout power and praised the 31-year-old.

One reacted by saying: “Inoue is a bad, evil man.”

Another added: “Naoya Inoue is a very bad man. Elite fighter ”
