He remains a huge fan of the sport and is friends with professional wrestlers Lyndon Arthur and Zelfa Barrett.

Bugzy – who made his acting debut in Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film The Gentlemen – continues to train in boxing as part of his fitness regime.

But on his most recent track, released on GRM Dailythe musician sparked talk of a fight with undefeated legend Mayweather.

And during a special appearance on Eddie Hearn’s show No passion, no meaning podcast, he was investigated on the call.

Hearn said: “I have to say, working in the boxing industry, we hear everything and the only thing we hear is about you fighting.

“Floyd Mayweather’s name comes up every now and then at the Manchester Arena. What’s going on?

“I know you’d love to do that, wouldn’t you?”

Bugzy received a message from a “supporter” of his with the opportunity to work for a private jet company.

The company owner then revealed that Mayweather is his client and wanted to fight the Manchester artist.

Bugzy, 33, said: “Now I’ve turned down a few boxing fights because a lot of what’s happening now in the boxing space is like YouTube boxing.

Inside Floyd Mayweather’s gym, where the boxing legend trained in sweltering heat and forced sparring partners to arrive at 3 a.m.

“I’m not really interested in getting into that, so I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Who is your customer?’ And he said, ‘Floyd Mayweather.’

“Flipping changed the whole conversation.”

Bugzy claimed it was Mayweather’s father and former trainer, Floyd Sr, who identified him as a potential opponent.

He said: “Before I even think, ‘Wait a minute, am I going to get punched in the head all night?’ I just said, ‘Yes.’

“He said, ‘Floyd Sr likes your physique, he said you look strong.’ So we started talking to them about weight, like, ‘How much do you want me to weigh tonight?’

“And they said, ‘Yes, you can come in heavier.’ And I thought, ‘Damn, this gives me a punch.'”

Mayweather, 47, officially retired in 2017 after defeating UFC star Conor McGregor, 35, in a crossover clash.

But since then he has continued boxing in exhibition bouts against names from MMA, boxing and the world of social media.

His last was in June 2023, against the grandson of notorious mob boss John Gotti, which he won by disqualification when a fight broke out in the ring.

Mayweather – who topped Forbes’ Richest of the Decade list in 2019 with over £700 million made – recently took to Instagram to announce that his next exhibition would take place in Mexico.

And Bugzy remains open to taking on the boxing bigs after turning down offers to fight in the past.

He said: “That Logan Paul, I think he’s a decent boxer, he looks good, he’s an athlete.

“However, it seemed like he caught Floyd with a gunshot and after that, it didn’t seem like he knew exactly what to do. If I caught Floyd shot, I would know what to do.

“So I thought one or two things were going to happen, I’m going to get punched all night and I’m not going to be able to touch him or I touch him, if I touch him I hurt him. .

“If I hurt him, with the right training, I think I could follow up with a second-phase attack and potentially get him out of there.

“So I thought, it looks like Floyd is still taking a risk if he says I can come in a little heavier.

“Obviously, I’m a busy bee, and if I’m going to take time out of my life to live like a real boxer, train for 12 weeks to get into a boxing ring and risk everything, I’m going to try to make it happen.

“So in my long song, I just mention it and say, ‘If Floyd really wants to fight, I’ll do the same.’

“These YouTube guys and everything, I don’t like putting my name next to that. If I’m going to go out of my way, it has to actually make sense.”
