TYSON FURY has been tipped to make a sensational tactical change for his Saudi showdown with Oleksandr Usyk.
Warrior Wythenshawe will attempt to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in almost 25 years when he faces the undefeated Ukrainian on May 18.
The agile Usyk, who has twice played around Anthony Joshua, will be the smoothest operator Fury has faced in his almost 16-year professional career.
And former trainer Jamie Moore reckons the Gypsy King could try to negate Usyk’s left-handed guile, COPYING your posture.
During TNT Sports’ Fight Breakdown, the 45-year-old said: “We’ve seen Fury, in the past, box a lot with the southpaw.
“And I have a feeling he’s going to box this fight southpaw.
“Because he is very adaptable and is very good at fighting a southpaw.
“And it’s easier to get to a lefty if you’re lefty and you know what you’re doing.
“And I don’t remember Usyk boxing a southpaw at a high level. Not since he was an amateur.
“So I have a feeling that might be Fury’s tactic.”

TYSON FURY VS OLEKSANDR USYK: ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED BEFORE A HUGE UNFORGETTABLE HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT
Moore reckons Team Usyk will have anticipated Fury making a shock change.
He said: “So if I’m putting myself in Usyk’s trainer’s shoes, I’m going to say, ‘See, I think he’s going to become left-footed.’
“You’d have at least half of that being prepared with some kind of lefty sparring”
Fury briefly switched to southpaw in his 2022 victory over Dilian Whyte, although George Groves feels he would be playing with fire by doing the same thing against Usyk.
The former WBA 168lbs champion said: “It would be the bravery of Tyson Fury to enter the toughest fight [of his career] and say, ‘I’m going to fight this [as a] Left-handed’.
“Because he’s not as good as a lefty as he is as an orthodox [fighter]. But he’s a decent lefty.”
Groves’ former British rival Carl Froch, however, said: “He can do it for periods.
“And he can start like [a] lefty just to try and put a wrench into work and then go back. Mix.”
It’s unclear whether Fury will fight the biggest of his career as a southpaw, although Moore reckons it will pay dividends for the WBC heavyweight king.
He said, “If you can change when someone is going left and you change to orthodox and as soon as they go right, you change [to] lefty, you are automatically cutting the ring.
“So it would be a good tactic if he can pull it off.”
