DEONTAY WILDER hopes to relive his superfight with Anthony Joshua behind enemy lines.

The American squandered his £100million deal to face AJ in Saudi Arabia in March after a shock defeat to Joseph Parker just months earlier.

Joshua is now primed for a fight back in the UK in September at Wembley and the door remains open for an opponent.

And Wilder hopes to redeem himself so he can end years of rivalry by finally sharing the ring with his great British rival.

He said Sports Betting Review: “F*** yes, that turns me on.

“I’ve been through situations like this when I fought the gold medalist in Moscow. We were there in the lion’s den.

“When you walk into an arena with nothing but Russians and you can feel the breath coming out of their mouths ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ and you can feel the wind of their breath hitting the ends of the hair on your neck as you walk in knowing you have no one there to represent you.

“You’re behind enemy lines and you feel a huge adrenaline rush. It’s an incredible feeling, so I have no problem coming to London.

“It would be amazing for me, but the only thing that would be different about coming to Russia and the UK is that I have really big fans in the UK, and I think they will come out and represent me, even though I’m struggling with your countryman.”

Joshua, 34, beat Otto Wallin, 33, in December to fulfill his end of the deal.

But moments earlier, Wilder, 38, fell in defeat to Parker, 32, to end the superfight.

Instead, AJ went to knockout replacement Francis Ngannou, 37, while Wilder now returns on June 1 against Zhilei Zhang, 41.

And the plot thickened after he was selected by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, to represent him in the 5v5 tournament against Frank Warren’s selections.

Wilder refused to look away from a hugely successful day against Londoner Joshua, but first he must avoid another interim defeat.

He said, “I want it. I’ve never run away from a fight, I’ve never shied away from a fight, no matter what you’ve heard over the years.

“I never ran away from anyone, I never dodged anyone, I took the short end of the stick just to make the fights happen, that’s the God’s honest truth.

“I’m here and when I’ve done what I’m supposed to do, we’re going to continue this fight.

“I want the biggest fights possible, but everything depends on June 1st. I’m going to pack my bags and come to Wembley happy.

“When I come to the UK I’m welcomed with open arms, it’s amazing to see people and receive the gratitude and hospitality I receive. It makes me feel like it’s my second home.”
