Both men have been in the Middle East this week as excitement to crown the division’s first unified champion king intensifies.

But it was the WBC champion’s father who stole the headlines after headbutting Stanislav Stepchuk – a member of Team Usyk – on Monday.

John, who was left with a bloody forehead, shouted in the resulting confusion: “We cannot be defeated! We cannot be defeated!”

The 59-year-old then threatened to headbutt Tony Bellew after he predicted an Usyk victory and has now caused controversy again with a bizarre speech.

Speaking with IFLTVhe has now launched a bitter attack on “treacherous” British fans who believe their undefeated 6ft 1in boy will be beaten this weekend and says his family’s “hearts are in Saudi Arabia”.

John, who was also a professional boxer, exploded: “The British do it. The British are traitors, aren’t they?

“Forget Britain, our hearts are in Saudi Arabia because we are treated as proper people and as we deserve to be treated.

“I also feel like a king and I’m a bum.”

John had previously broken his silence on the head-butting incident and tried to justify it by insisting: “I’m a warrior, this is what we do.”

He said: “[They] disrespected my son, the best heavyweight to ever wear a pair of boxing gloves.

‘0-1 for Usyk’, says Oleksandr’s promoter after John Fury’s ‘ugly’ headbutt

“Leaving with all this rubbish. He’s in my face, trying to be smart.

“Coming into my space, ‘Usyk, Usyk,’ nobody cares about them. I was just chanting my own son’s name.

“They got closer, they got closer. So at the end of the day, I’m a warrior, this is what we do.

“We’re fighting people, you go into space and you’re going to get what’s coming.”

This prompted Usyk to warn Fury and John that their secret army of soldiers trained with guns and knives would not withstand another attack.

However, Tyson seemed completely unconcerned about the threat last night.

The Gypsy King rocked the Grand Arrivals event with a “new style” that left fans claiming he looked like a cross between Boy George and WWE legend The Undertaker.
