EDDIE HEARN admits even his friends were convinced by an embarrassing Photoshopped photo of him.

The Matchroom promoter, 44, is currently in Saudi Arabia for tomorrow’s undisputed clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

Hearn has been closely involved in the build-up as his fighter Jai Opetaia takes on Mairis Briedis on the undercard, while his star Anthony Joshua bids for the chance to become a three-time world champion.

However, Hearn’s focus was hilariously taken away from the biggest fight in decades after something caught his eye in X.

An account calling itself “MrBoxingFacts” shared what appeared to be a screenshot of the Brit being interviewed on DAZN.

However, a black liquid seemed to ooze from the matchmaker’s hair.

This prompted the social media user to caption: “It was really hot in Saudi Arabia last night, even Eddie Hearn’s hair dye was on #FuryUsyk #JustForMen.”

That post soon started going viral and even led to a response from Hearn.

Along with a see-no-evil monkey face and a crying-from-laughter emoji, he responded, “Good job, even my friends asked if it’s real.”

A shocked MrBoxingFacts was delighted to see Hearn’s interaction and said: “Thanks for following Eddie, it made my day.”

To which Hearn responded: “Fair play of the best skills.”

Hearn was on hand yesterday to watch Fury REFUSE to even look at rival Usyk in the pre-fight press conference.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s Ring of Fire Press Conference

Thursday began with the Gypsy King’s withdrawal from a live interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

And Usyk’s team continued the hectic preparation for the weekend’s blockbuster, reportedly filing a complaint that parts of the Riyadh Ring screen could be a tripping hazard.

Things then came to a head – or rather, didn’t come to a head – when the Gypsy King refused to even look, let alone make the traditional face-to-face stance, with his Ukrainian opponent.

But it was the WBC champion’s father John who stole the headlines after shockingly headbutting Stanislav Stepchuk – a member of Team Usyk – on Monday.

John, who was left with a bloody forehead, shouted in the resulting confusion: “We cannot be defeated! We cannot be defeated!”

The 59-year-old then threatened to headbutt Tony Bellew after he predicted an Usyk win and then launched a bitter attack on the “treasonous” British fans who believe their undefeated 6ft 2in boy will be beaten this weekend .

However, Hearn is not one of them as he believes it will be Fury who will have his hand raised.

He told the Matchroom Boxing YouTube Channel: “I go back and forth all the time – that’s why it’s such a good fight.

“Who doesn’t want to see Fury/Usyk? It’s such an intriguing fight.

“One minute I see Usyk on the training ground and think, ‘he always finds a way.’ And then you see Fury in much better shape…

“I’ve faced Fury so many times. I didn’t think he would beat Wladimir Klitschko, I didn’t think he would beat Deontay Wilder. But I was also against Usyk: I believed [Anthony Joshua] would beat him.

“Right now, if Fury goes out like he did [the second fight with] Wilder and he’s aggressive with smart pressure, I think he can stop him.

“That’s what I’m looking for now. I hope Fury can do it, I really want him to win this fight.”

Saudi Arabia is no place for Fury vs Usyk… the undisputed blockbuster fight will look deserted

IT is the biggest individual sporting title on the planet – the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.

It is the crown worn by Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano and Jack Dempsey.

And it’s an honor that hasn’t been given in a quarter of a century.

Yet when Tyson Fury steps into the ring to face Oleksandr Usyk for the ultimate boxing prize, he will do so in the dead of an Arabian night, in front of a disinterested crowd with little atmosphere or sense of occasion.

What should have been The Greatest Show on Earth will feel like a ding-dong trapped in a vortex.

The salute of elite sport is reaching a crisis point – from golf’s civil war, to the march of football’s money-rich Saudi Professional League, to the awarding of the 2034 World Cup.

But this event, in Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena, in the early hours of Sunday morning local time, is a true jewel in the crown, allowing the Sheikhs to bask in their reflected glory, to marvel at their own wealth and power.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr faced Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami at the same venue earlier this year, but it was an exhibition match, this is the real deal.

The tragedy for British boxing is that it currently holds the balance of power in the heavyweight division – thanks to Fury, Anthony Joshua and several other decent contenders.
