AMIR Khan’s £11.5 million wedding venue finally hosted its first wedding after being seen surrounded by rubbish.
The luxury Dubai-style tower is actually in Bolton and is next to a manual car wash.
It was first unveiled in January and faced further criticism after surrounding roads were littered with rubbish.
In March, weirs were still visible on the corrugated metal roof.
The launch was scheduled for that month, but the first wedding took place on May 18th.
Former boxer Amir, 37, was not at the scene, he was in Saudi Arabia for the Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk fight.
But he said: “Balmayna’s doors have finally opened.”
Videos show the interior’s luxurious marble floors and chandeliers as formally dressed, bow-tied staff served guests.
The bride arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and the groom in a Rolls-Royce.
Guests were treated to fruit canapés when they arrived while a viola played for the guests.
A Balmayna spokesperson said: “The first love story at Balmayna.
“So elegant, so magical, simply a dream.
“We wish our newlyweds the happiest blessings.
“Such a stunning setting for your memories.”
The Balmayna – which translates as Enameled from Arabic – is on Washington Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Former king of the ring Khan married Faryal Makhdoom, 32, 10 years ago.
The former welterweight and welterweight champion and American model – worth £31million – has three children together.
Previously, locals criticized the extravagant website.
Some said it doesn’t fit the area – and that it looks like it should be in Dubai – while others said it looks a decade older than it is.
The glass-fronted building is said to display greenery and floral designs inside, alongside a water fountain inside.
