OLEKSANDR USYK has reached the top of Ring Magazine’s pound-for-pound rankings following his historic victory over Tyson Fury.

Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

And he did it as the first in the four-belt era, repeating the same feat he achieved in cruiserweight.

Here, SunSport presents Ring’s list of the top ten boxers in the world.

1. Oleksandr Usyk

The 37-year-old Ukrainian moved up from third to first after the victory over Fury.

His unbeaten record as two-time undisputed champion, with wins over Anthony Joshua, 34, and Fury, 35, only adds to his claim as world No.1.

2. Naoya Inoue

The Japanese star, 31, moved up the ranks after knocking out Mexican Luis Nery, 29, to retain the undisputed super bantamweight title.

Inoue has 24 KOs in his 27 undefeated fights and stands out as one of the biggest punchers in the sport.

3. Terence Crawford

The 36-year-old American was knocked out of the top following the most recent victories of Inoue and Usyk.

But Crawford returns on August 3 against Israil Madrimov, 29, for the WBO light middleweight title, which gives him the chance to become a four-weight champion.

4. Canelo Álvarez

Boxing’s biggest attraction remains in the top four after beating compatriot Jaime Munguia, 27 years old.

He has retained all of his 168-pound super middleweight titles, but Canelo’s next move remains unclear.

5. Artur Beterbiev

The 40-year-old Russian is the only boxing champion with a 100% knockout record in his 20 fights and should return against 33-year-old Dmitry Bivol.

But the undisputed light heavyweight decider was postponed after Beterbiev suffered a knee injury.

6. Dmitry Bivol

The unified champion was left heartbroken after his megafight with Beterbiev was cancelled.

But he still returns on the same card against replacement opponent Malik Zinad.

7. Errol Spence Jr.

Texan Spence, 34, is yet to return since his loss to Crawford, with questions raised about how he remains in the top ten list.

But he plans to make a comeback at the weight against 6-foot-2 super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora, 26.

8. Gervonta Davis

Tank, 29, is emerging as one of the sport’s biggest box office draws and most recently stopped Ryan Garcia, 25, in April 2023.

He defends the lightweight title on June 15, in Las Vegas, against 29-year-old Frank Martin.

9. Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodríguez

The 24-year-old flyweight moved to 19-0 with a stoppage victory over 28-year-old Sunny Edwards in December.

He became unified WBO and IBF champion with the biggest win of his career.

10. Together Nakatani

The three-division champion currently reigns over the bantamweight world with the WBO belt.

And he is going unnoticed as one of the best in the world, climbing in weight in a brutal way.
