TYSON FURY has not only activated his rematch clause with Oleksandr Usyk, but will fight Anthony Joshua in 2025.
That’s according to Fury promoter Bob Arum, who revealed the news on Friday.
Fury suffered defeat to Usyk in Saudi Arabia last Saturday, ending his unbeaten run and causing him to relinquish the WBC heavyweight title.
And while Arum confirmed that the rematch clause against Usyk has been confirmed, he also revealed that a long-awaited British battle with Joshua is on the cards.
Arum said TalkSPORT: “Next year, win or lose, whatever happens, this fight is something that has to happen because there is a lot of talk about it in the UK.
“I would be very, very surprised if that fight didn’t happen at Wembley in mid-2025.”
Joshua hasn’t been in the ring since he knocked out Francis Ngannou in March.
Fury and AJ have a long-standing rivalry, but fans may not have to wait much longer to see the boxing giants step into the ring.
Meanwhile, despite the Gypsy King’s setback when Usyk secured a split decision victory and came close to stopping the match in the ninth round, Arum has already hinted at a possible rematch in the near future.
Arum continued: “There is a rematch clause and Tyson exercised the rematch clause and this fight will take place at the end of the year or the beginning of next year.

“It will happen, again, in Riyadh. This is the contract that both fighters signed.
“It was such a good and controversial fight. A lot of people thought Tyson gave up, some people thought Usyk deserved the victory he got.
“We’ll see what happens in the rematch. I think there will be a lot of interest and, win or lose, I would love to see Tyson, who I believe will win the rematch.”
