DEONTAY WILDER botched Anthony Joshua’s fight for the second time in six months and needs to hang up his gloves as quickly as possible.

Saudi boxing king Turki Alalshikh explained before his clash with Zhilei Zhang that a thrilling victory would guarantee AJ penalties in September at Wembley.

It was the Alabama puncher’s second chance after he dropped the ball in December while being coached by Joseph Parker.

But he missed again as he was knocked out at the end of four uneventful rounds – giving Frank Warren a 10-0 victory over Eddie Hearn in their 5v5 battle.

And the father of eight must make good on his promise to retire after a second successive defeat.

That leaves Daniel Dubois in charge to face AJ – after he gamely defeated Filip Hrgovic earlier in the night.

The 41-year-old was a golden old man with matching shiny gloves and shorts and was FIVE STONES heavier than the skinny Bronze Bomber.

Wilder, 38, barely threw a punch in the opening, despite telling anyone foolish enough to listen that he wanted ‘a body on my record’ by killing an opponent in the ring.

After a quiet start, we had a lively little shootout in the second when Zhang backed Wilder into a corner and threw left-handed punches.

Wilder looked in danger but hit hard enough to send Zhang away. And a subsequent combination of left hook and right hand landed on the enormous skull of the 20th Chinese giant.

Wilder threw some of his old right hands in the third, but Zhang was unaffected and continued walking with him, but without throwing enough strikes.

Fortunately, the end came in the fourth when Wilder was robbed of his senses by a gunshot and let his guard down.

Zhang attacked and punched him almost out of the ring.

Wilder appeared comatose, but stayed on his feet – on Bambi’s legs – to beat the count.

But the fight was rightly scrapped with Zhang back in the mix for a big fight and Wilder destined for a well-deserved and luxurious retirement.
