JACK FINCHAM is eyeing a Love Island showdown against Tommy Fury after preparing to fight mentally and physically.

The reality TV star – who won the hit ITV show in 2018 – boxed as an amateur before quitting the sport in her 20s.

But amid the boom in celebrity crossover fights, Fincham is back in boxing and returns on Crypto Fight Night on Saturday.

He faces Isaac Taylor, brother of his former opponent Anthony, with whom he shared four exhibition rounds in 2022.

Fincham won his last fight in Dubai, in April, against influencer Ahmed Mousa and now has players like Fury and KSI in his sights.

He told SunSport: “They were struggling to find me an opponent at first, but then Anthony sent me a message asking: ‘Would you fight my brother?’

“I said, ‘Yes, of course. No problem.’ I want to leave a mark in this type of boxing because I want to eventually fight Tommy Fury.

“I could easily fight KSI, easily. They are the type of people I want to box and I know I am more than capable of beating them.

“I have a lot more self-confidence now since I started training and given the quality of sparring I’m getting, these people aren’t as good as me in my opinion.”

Fury is undefeated at 10-0 and last year defeated YouTube’s biggest boxing stars, KSI, 30, and Jake Paul, 27.

But the 25-year-old has not returned since then – after undergoing hand surgery – as Fincham raised doubts about his boxing aspirations.

He said: “I’ve said this in the past, I think Tommy is a great guy and really nice, but is his heart really in boxing? I don’t think so.

“He’s making a lot of money from other things and I don’t think he needs boxing at the moment. I don’t think he’s going to get into any 50-50 fight, why would he do that?

“I don’t think at the moment he wants to fight someone who might have a chance of beating him. His excuse is, ‘They’re not bringing money to the table.’

“Well, they are. It’s definitely a fight I’d like, to have a few in between and then do that.”

Fincham dropped a sensational THREE STONES before his return to boxing at the start of the year.

This paved the way for the familiar feeling of victory in the ring – but one that he hadn’t experienced since his teenage days in amateur boxing.

Fincham, 32, said: “It was amazing. I haven’t felt like this in years, the last fight I won was in the amateurs and obviously I boxed with Anthony Taylor in between.

“It was an incredible feeling. It was a nice, familiar feeling, like, ‘Oh, that’s how it used to be.’

“I proved myself right, I wasn’t supposed to fight until this card or even after, around September, but I thought, ‘Fuck it, I’m going to fight now.’

“I accepted that fight six weeks in advance and lost 104 kilos. Overall you feel like you are winning in life again.

“Other things start going right for you, other jobs start opening up, you look healthy, you look fit. Everything is better.”
