RYAN GARCIA is eyeing a surprising change in MMA following his suspension from boxing due to a positive drug test.

The fighter failed two tests before his April victory over Devin Haney, which ended the latter’s unbeaten run.

This has now been restored, with the result declared uncontested.

Garcia’s team claims he is a “victim of substance contamination” after he declared his “retirement” on Thursday.

And after reaching an agreement with the New York Commission, Garcia will now be suspended for at least a year.

He will also return his share of Haney’s contract worth around £900,000.

And Garcia was also fined £8,000.

But now he appears interested in entering the Octagon after messaging Dana White on social media.

Garcia exploded: “They took away my victory. I never cheat. F you!

“Take away my victory, add it to the list of shit I’m already going through.

“I’m ready for business. Get ready. I don’t care anymore. Run when you see me.

“I’m going to the UFC. Dana, I want my 50gs. For real, Dana White hit me.”

Following his suspension from boxing, Garcia’s team released a statement defending the fighter.

It said: “Ryan Garcia was a victim of substance contamination, with levels measured in billions and trillions of grams, which provided no advantage in the ring.

“Ryan, with his legal team, resolved this issue and firmly stands by his truth: he never knowingly consumed any prohibited substance.

“For many years, Ryan voluntarily submitted to random testing, even during non-competition periods, and never had any problems.

“He has maintained an impeccable and clean record throughout his career, significantly elevating and transcending the sport of boxing, earning the respect and admiration of millions of fans around the world.

“Fans will always remember his performance against Haney as a master class, and that will never be erased.

“Ryan will continue to elevate the sport and will be actively involved in advocating for reform. We hope that future changes to our system will address issues like this.

“We want to thank all the fans who have continued to support Ryan, not only during the big moments, but also through the difficult times that life brings.

“He will be back in the ring soon and better than ever!”

Ryan Garcia crowns $1 million

RYAN GARCIA wore a crown worth $1 million for his walk into the ring before fighting Devin Haney.

The American boxer’s helmet caught the attention of boxing fans before and after his surprising victory.

The 25-year-old made his way to the ring dressed in a white robe and a diamond-encrusted crown.

With 1 kg of gold and more than 400 carats of diamonds, the crown was made by Texas jeweler The Ice Champ.

Garcia’s dress was also made up of 15,000 diamonds and took 10 days to create.

He also said TMZ before the fight: “He said ‘let’s create something where the champion of the boxing world and the champion of the jewelry world connect and do something unique.
