ANTHONY JOSHUA’S Wembley clash with Daniel Dubois just got bigger – and fans think matchmaker Turki Alalshikh will definitely perhaps “be knighted”.
The two London heavyweights will face each other for the IBF title vacated by Oleksandr Usyk on September 21st at Wembley Stadium in an all-British showdown.
A cumulative tie was announced after the Saudi boss brought together heavyweights Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren for the clash.
His Excellency is targeting a record 100,000 spectators at Wembley for the fight which will see the winner face the winner of Usyk’s rematch with Tyson Fury in December.
Now Alalshikh has put “the icing on the cake” by adding an English rock ‘n’ roll icon to the Joshua vs Dubois mix.
It has been confirmed that former Oasis star Liam Gallagher will perform ahead of the main event at the national stadium.
The 51-year-old has returned to the stage in recent months, but now his next big date after his tour has been booked.
The singer is expected to perform three songs at Wembley that were considered ‘classics’.
And after delivering what promises to be an epic night in Riyadh’s spectacular season, boxing and Oasis fans came together to salute Alalshikh.
And it has left them dreaming of seeing the full Oasis reunion between Liam and his brother Noel, which many have wanted for years.

One of them joked: “Imagine Noel arrives and joins him. Turki will be knighted.”
Another wrote: “Big man Turki is going to reunite Liam and Noel at this rate.”
A third said: “Imagine if he paid enough money and sorted out Liam and Noel like he did Frank and Eddie.”
While a fourth added: “If anyone can bring the oasis together…. It’s the Saudis.”
In addition to a concert, two giant children’s parks will be installed around Wembley to create a family-friendly environment.
There is also a stacked undercard for boxing purists to enjoy throughout the night.
Qualifier for Joshua x Dubois
Here are the five fights that will take place before AJ vs. Dubois and Gallagher perform:
- Cacace x Warrington
- Buatsi x Hutchinson
- Smith vs Smith
- Denneyr x Sheeraz
- Chambo x Padley
The most eye-catching matchup is the interim light heavyweight title clash between Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson.
And there’s also an IBF super featherweight title fight between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington.
The flames were also fanned yesterday when AJ and Dubois almost came to blows and had to be restrained by security after a heated confrontation.
