But in the second round, there was a huge controversy when Cruz landed a powerful right hand on his opponent.

This caused De Jesus to fall to his knees before quickly getting up.

But the referee saw enough and stopped the fight to give the 29-year-old rival the victory.

When the officer waved his arm in front of Cruz, he angrily pushed him away.

Before furiously charging to the other side of the ring and landing a right hook to the referee’s head.

The officer initially did not retaliate, but then shockingly attacked Cruz and attempted to punch him.

His blow missed and the referee ran from the scene and jumped out of the ring.

The crazy incident left fans shocked, with one saying: “Casually walking up to the referee and punching him is crazy.”

Another added: “This is one of the craziest boxing clips I’ve ever seen. Hitting a referee is almost unheard of, the referee swinging backwards happens once in a century.”

And a third commented: “That was classless.”
