UFC legends Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set for the much-anticipated next month, but there’s a twist.
Diaz and Masvidal, both 39, fought at UFC 244 in 2019, with the latter winning to claim the BMF (Baddest Mother F****r) title.
Many have called for a rematch between the two lightweights and their prayers have finally been answered, but it won’t be an MMA fight.
Instead, the American brutes will face off in a 10-round boxing match.
The two fighters only boxed professionally once throughout their storied careers.
Masvidal entered a boxing ring in 2005 when he defeated Joseph Benjamin, while Diaz lost to YouTuber Jake Paul last year.
When does Diaz x Masvidal happen?
Masvidal and Diaz will now take place on Saturday, July 6th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The fight was originally scheduled for June 1st, but was postponed to avoid a clash with UFC 302.
The card begins at 11pm BST, with the main event expected to begin from 5am BST/midnight ET.
