However, a fight broke out between the pair in the ring after the fight was called off.

The chaotic scenes saw security staff rush to the ring to separate the two fighters.

Mutie retired injured after a “rabbit punch” from Till caused him to fall to the ground holding the back of his head.

Till hit his opponent in the back of the head during a clinch, with the referee calling off the fight because Mutie could not continue.

When he got up, however, the Palestinian fighter confronted Till inside the ring.

The heated conversation soon turned into a fight as security and trainers crowded into the ring to separate them.

Tempers finally calmed down, but only after Mutie grabbed the Englishman’s leg and knocked him down.

Speaking in his post-fight interview, Till explained: “That’s fighting – you get hit.

“If you don’t want to keep fighting, don’t fight. He’s not a fighter. He’s trying to be a fighter. He’s a coward.

“Then when I’m minding my own business, he comes and attacks me. I’m sorry. I’m not that guy. I’m a respectful guy.

“I love fighting. I love Dubai, I’ve been coming here since 2016. I’m here minding my own business and he came and attacked me with his team.

“I have to defend myself, so I’m sorry about this, guys. I’m sorry.”

Till made his boxing debut at the event in Dubai, which also featured social media star Abdu Rozik.

MMA had already been lined up to fight former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson later this month.

The fight was cancelled, however, when the main event was cancelled.

Prior to Saturday night, Till had not fought since suffering a submission loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282 in December 2022.

The loss was his fifth in six fights and his last in the UFC, with his professional MMA record now at 18-5-1.
