JAKE PAUL warned Mike Tyson to prepare for the rumble after keeping his fight alive for too long.
The pair were due to meet in front of more than 70,000 people in Texas in a controversial clash scrutinized over their 30-year age difference.
But Tyson, 58, was forced to pull out as a health precaution, with the fight rescheduled for November 15.
Paul, 27, chose to continue fighting on July 20, more than 1,000 miles away in Florida.
He chose former UFC star turned boxing champion Mike Perry, 32, as his interim opponent.
And Paul made no mistake with his biggest payday on the line, defeating Perry three times before a sixth-round stoppage.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer took the opportunity to send a threatening warning to Tyson while also calling out UFC champion Alex Pereira
“I knocked him down in the first round and he survived, but Mike Tyson! You’re the next big guy,” Paul said.
“Sign the contract! November 15th on Netflix, I’m excited about it.
“I’m going home to prepare for this. And, Alex Pereira, you said you want to box, I’m the king of it.
“I’m the king of this, come on, we can make this happen. I want you, Alex Pereira.
“Actually, I just beat a BKFC champion, I beat several UFC champions and he said he wants to box, so Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson, let’s make it happen.”
Paul shared a FaceTime call with Pereira, 37, in the ring afterward.
The Brazilian is a former kickboxing champion and two-time UFC champion – currently reigning in the light heavyweight division.
He was encouraged to switch to boxing by Anthony Joshua, 34, who knocked out MMA’s Francis Ngannou, 37, in March.
Paul – who has defeated five former UFC fighters – reiterated that Pereira is in his sights, but Tyson comes first.
“One hundred percent it’s happening,” he said.
“November 15th, Mike Tyson is training, he’s back, looking crazier than ever. November 15th on Netflix, I’m going to get another knockout punch and prove everyone wrong once again.”
Tyson retired in 2005 but returned in 2020 for an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr that ended in an eight-round draw.
He posted a video of himself watching Paul’s fight and joked that the “countdown begins.”
