A RUSSIAN MMA promotion has introduced a bizarre new sport involving a phone booth.
Footage from a recent fight shows two fighters inside a traditional red phone booth as they face off.
The pair can be seen frantically throwing punches in the tight space as the fight begins.
Punches continue to be thrown in the phone booth before one of the contestants falls to the ground.
An officer immediately intervenes to break up the fight, reaching through the window.
The referee can be seen checking on the fighter after ending the fight before helping him to his feet and leaving the phone booth.
It’s the latest example of a bizarre turn of events in combat sports following a crazy 2v2 brawl earlier this year.
The fight went viral on social media after fans were stunned when four mixed martial artists faced off inside the Octagon.
All four fighters faced off for a single 10-minute round as part of the 2nd Impact Dogfight Wild Tournament in Spain in February.
The event also included a 3v1 match, as well as a No Rules match, in addition to the 2v2 brawl.
