RYAN Garcia and Devin Haney have agreed to shell out $500,000 PER POUND if they lose weight.
Haney, 25, will defend his world super lightweight title against Garcia in New York on Saturday.
He accused his opponent of unprofessionalism over his social media antics and tempers flared at the press conference.
Garcia, also 25, has avoided questions about his weight for much of this week and Haney has said he will struggle to make the 140-pound limit.
“Fat kid, you’re overweight, whoever comes in overweight is paying $500,000,” sneered Haney’s outspoken father, Bill.
“$500,000. How much, bet? It’s a bet,” Garcia responded before lifting his t-shirt to show off his six-pack.
Devin then upped the ante by adding, “We’re going to make $500,000 a pound.”
Garcia agreed with a handshake.
“The time is very close, it has been a long time. The conversation is almost over,” said two-weight world champion Haney.
“The antics are almost over, it’s not an easy fight, but it’s a fight that I’m going to make look easy.
“Despite all the shenanigans and everything, I kept my blinders on and stayed focused.
“All the things he has done will betray and show.”
Garcia suffered his first professional loss to Gervonta Davis a year ago, but knocked out Oscar Duarte in his last outing.
He thanked Jesus Christ 13 times before launching into a rant.
“What do you want me to say? I’ve said it all and done it all,” he roared.
“Now I’m ready to kick his ass, I’m going to get in there and fuck him.
“You don’t know how I’ve been training and the vision I’ve had. I’m strong and excited.”
