KSI was forced to WITHDRAW his boxing comeback – and took aim at Conor McGregor while doing so.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer would face Anthony Taylor and Slim Albaher in a two-on-one HANDICAP fight.
But after a period of uncertainty, KSI confirmed that an injury has forced him to withdraw from the event in Dublin on August 31, which is still to take place.
He took to social media to speak out and mock McGregor after the Irishman pulled out of his UFC return with a toe injury.
KSI said: “I have some important news to share and I wanted you to hear it directly from me. The fight with Slim and AT is over.
“I’ve been fighting an injury (not my toe, haha) since I started training for this fight and unfortunately it got worse during the camp and that’s why you didn’t see my usual enthusiasm.
“Despite my best efforts to overcome the pain, I have reached a point where I can no longer train, not even hit pads or do bag work.
“On the orders of my doctor, I have been advised to withdraw from Misfits 017 at the 3Arena in Dublin on August 31st.”
KSI, 31, has not fought since suffering his first defeat, to Tommy Fury, 25, in October.
SunSport understands he was injured while training for the fight, which he lost via a controversial decision.

KSI added: “I know this may be disappointing for many of you and I hate to disappoint you.
“However, I will take some time to rest so I can get back into the ring as soon as possible.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon: fitter; stronger; healthier and ready for any challenge.
“For now, I apologize to the fans, my opponents and everyone involved who may feel disappointed by this decision.
“I give 100% in everything I do and this is not a decision I made lightly. I am aware of the lengths people will have gone to to see me fight in Ireland and I am sorry to have let you all down.
“Thank you for continuing to support me in everything I do and I promise to make it up to you all.
“A big thank you to all the fans for riding with me through thick and thin. I want to thank my team and DAZN for their unwavering support.”
Despite my best efforts to overcome the pain, I have reached a point where I can no longer train, not even hit pads or do bag work.
KSI on his injury
KSI has confirmed that the event – which was expected to sell out Dublin’s 3Arena – will go ahead with the man himself in attendance.
And despite not being a boxer, the chart-topping rapper will perform for the audience.
KSI confirmed: “The event will continue! Misfits 017 marks our two year anniversary, so let’s make sure it’s special.
“In addition to the fights, I will be commentating and performing some of my new songs with some exciting surprises.
“For those who purchased tickets and are not satisfied with these changes, refunds can be requested at the original point of purchase.
“To the rest of you, I can’t wait to see you there and celebrate this special occasion together!
“Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
