O USC Trojans and coach Eric Musselman have added another player to the transfer portal. This time, USC basketball went to the Big Ten and got Terrance Williams II from Michigan.

Connor Morrissette 247Sports has more details on Williams:

“Williams was a team captain at Michigan last season. He averaged 12.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, shooting 43.3% from the field. Williams took a leap as a three-point shooter in his senior year, as the Wolverines made a career-best 39.7% of their shots from deep. He is a career 74.3% free throw shooter.

“Williams, who is 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, played the last four seasons at Michigan. He was unranked in transfer portal 247Sports.com’s recruiting rankings. As a high school student coming out of Gonzaga College in the Washington D.C. area (the same school as Caleb Williams), Williams was the 105th overall recruit and the 20th ranked offensive lineman nationally. He still has a year of college eligibility left.”

In addition to having Big Ten experience and therefore being a player who can more effectively help USC combat its Big Ten opponents in 2025, Williams is notable for being a Power Five transfer. Many of Eric Musselman’s previous transfers in the 2024 cycle have been mid-major and key players. Williams offers a different perspective and background. Having played in the Big Ten, he should be able to physically withstand the rigors of the upcoming season at USC.
