In the wake of Purdue’s national title run, Purdue appears to be looking to get back on track with one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country.

Last year, Purdue’s nonconference schedule included games against Xavier at home, Gonzaga, Tenn., and Marquette at the Maui Invitational, Arizona at Indianapolis and Alabama at Toronto.

This caused Purdue to have the second toughest schedule at the end of the season. He already has some marquee games lined up for next season, heading to San Diego early for the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego, where he will join Notre Dame, Arkansas and BYU during Thanksgiving. This four-team tournament isn’t as crowded as last year’s Maui Invitational, but with the addition of John Calipari to the Razorbacks program, the spotlight will be a little brighter on San Diego.

Purdue will also host Texas A&M for its Indy Classic in Indianapolis.

Now we’re hearing that Purdue and Matt Painter aren’t done adding challenges to their young team’s schedule as it adjusts to life without National Player of the Year Zach Edey.

It appears that the two Final Four teams, Alabama and Purdue, will play each other again in this non-conference, but this time as part of a home-and-home series.
