Louisville men’s basketball head coach Pat Kelsey hasn’t stopped hunting for a BYU player through the NCAA transfer portal.
The Cardinals picked up a commitment on Saturday from Noah Watermana 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior forward who spent the past two seasons with the Cougars and new Kentucky coach Mark Pope, according to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68.
Waterman averaged 9.5 points per game on 45.7% shooting (57-for-154 from 3-point range) and 5.4 rebounds in 33 games. He still has a year of eligibility left.
With his pledge, the Savannah, New York, native is following teammate Aly Khalifa, a junior center who plans to redshirt during the upcoming campaign to rehabilitate a knee injury.
He also won the 12th of 13 scholarships available to Kelsey.

Kelsey also secured commitments from former Michigan signee Khani Rooths and junior guard Kobe Rodgers (Charleston); but they plan to redshirt this season while recovering from injuries.
As of Saturday, all of Louisville’s scholarship players from the 2023-24 campaign had entered the portal, which closed on May 1.
