2024 Purdue signee and new freshman center Daniel Jacobsen is off to a strong start in Colorado Springs as it looks to secure a spot on the USA Basketball Men’s Under-18 National Team in the FIBA Under-18 Men’s AmeriCup.
On Saturday, Jacobsen was named one of the 18 finalists in the 12-man squad heading to Buenos Aires and is scheduled to begin play on June 3. Accompanying the future Boilermaker big man as fellow finalists at the post are Malaquias Moreno (not confirmed in 2025), Morez Johnson Jr. (Illinois), Patrick Ngongba II (Duke), Jayden Quaintance (State of Arizona) and Caleb Wilson (not confirmed in 2025).
