LAS VEGAS – Day two of the 2024 Pangos All-American Camp took place in the desert on Monday, as prospects from coast to coast showed off their skills to NBA scouts, reporters and personnel.
Rivals.com’s Rob Cassidy was present on the day in Nevada and shares some of his findings below.

FIVE-STAR VISITS MELEEK THOMAS EYING AND AN OCTOBER DECISION
Five star guard Meleek Thomas is as well-traveled as any prospect in the class of 2025. The in-demand point guard has already logged a long list of visits, both official and unofficial, and now appears ready to wrap up his summer roadmap with two key trips.
“I haven’t fully finalized the dates yet, but after talking to my family, my teammates and other things, I’m pretty sure that June 19th to 21st will be UConn and from June 25th to 27th it will be Arkansas,” Thomas said on Monday.
The next two official visits appear vital to the five-star’s process as his long-standing relationship with the new Razorback coach João Calipari and UConn’s field and pedigree make both programs serious players in Thomas’ recruitment — a recruitment the five-star says he hopes to have completed before his senior season.
“At first, I was going to commit on August 6th because I wanted to commit on my birthday, but then coaching changes and other things happened, so I had to postpone,” Thomas said. “I’ll probably have to visit in August, so maybe it’s September now, but definitely before my senior season.”
According to Thomas, Pitt, Auburn, Kansas, Miami It is Indiana joins UConn and Arkansas as serious players in his process, and he remains in contact with Kansas State It is Alabama.

INDIANA PROGRESSING with GABE WEIS
College coaches are not permitted to establish telephone contact with the 2026 wing Gabe Weis until June 15th, but Indiana appears to have already impressed by hosting the Kentucky native for several unofficial visits.
“I’ve been there twice,” Weis said of IU on Monday. “I love that coaching staff. They are really good people and passionate about recruitment. Even on Mother’s Day, they wished my mother a happy Mother’s Day and everything. I talk to them a lot and they always respond. It’s cool.”
Weis grew up Kentucky fan, but says he won’t let his childhood loyalties determine the trajectory of his recruitment. That said, the 6-foot-9 forward has his sights set on his hometown school.
“I hope to hear from the coach (Mark) Pope here soon, and I hope to receive some more offers when June 15th arrives,” he said.

BIG BEN AHMED IS MORE THAN A BRUISER
The 6-foot-10, 225-pound center of the frame Ben Ahmed boasts about suggesting certain things about his game and most of those things are true. The four-star big man is a certified carry in the post who collects rebounds and second-chance points at an eye-popping clip, but he’s taken advantage of the last two days at Pangos to showcase mid-range touch and even some decent long range . jumper that he will release safely and convert if given an open look.
Currently ranked as the #35 prospect on Rivals150, he could see another slight increase when the list is updated this month. The center is adding skill and finesse to his strength-based calling cards and is increasingly looking like an impact freshman from Day One. On Monday, he finished his first game of the night with 11 points and six rebounds in a camp game that saw playing time split evenly.
