2025 DE Dalton Knapp commits to Kansas State – EMAWOnline

Kansas State has long prioritized Texas athletes in its recruiting, opting to delve into the Lone Star State to add several top targets.

On Thursday, the Wildcats continued that trend, adding a three-star defensive end Dalton Knapp. The All Saints Episcopal of Fort Worth (TX) product announced his commitment through his social media channels.

Knapp committed to K-State after a successful visit to Manhattan over the weekend. He also had visits scheduled to Boise State and Kansas, but opted to join the Wildcats’ class.

The 6-foot-5 defensive end is K-State’s first defensive line addition in the recruiting class and its first high school defensive end in two seasons. Last season, the Wildcats opted to add transfer Austin Peay Travis Bates and transfer to junior college Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder instead of a high school scholarship.

In his junior season, Knapp totaled 43 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. All Saints Episcopal finished with a 9-3 record, winning two playoff games in the process.

Knapp is K-State’s second Texas-based commit in 2025, joining linebacker Weston Polk. He is also the program’s sixth commitment in the class and the third in the last week.
