A brand new Rivals150 crashed on Friday for the 2026 recruiting class, coincidentally the same weekend that coaches can officially contact the class’ prospects directly for the first time.
Purdue has been active in offering 2,026 recruits over the past month and all eight of its current targets in the class are present in the updated rankings.
No one rose higher in the Rivals150 updated yesterday than the four-star wing Anthony Thompson, who went from unranked to the 13th best prospect in the entire class. The Ohio native is now one spot away from a five-star rating with the cut at No. 12 Dylan Mingo.
Thompson received offers from Power 5 programs before his stellar spring at Indiana Elite, but saw that number increase last month. Purdue became one of the new schools in the group, joining Ohio State, Texas, Marquette, West Virginia, Stanford, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Cincinnati.

The 6-foot-1 lefty has shown impressive versatility to go with his excellent frame and has the look of a prospect who could pop up on NBA GMs’ radar as he puts things together. “
Perhaps the biggest priority for the Boilermakers in the class, four-star point guard Taylen Kinney, stood out in the updated ranking, occupying 33rd position in the country. Purdue offered the Newport (KY) product in September 2023, but Kinney has seen an influx of offers this spring and summer, especially from Auburn, Louisville, Georgia, West Virginia and Rutgers. Xavier, Indiana, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Penn State, Notre Dame and Texas A&M also offered.
Kinney was in Italy for the Adidas EuroCamp earlier this month and is expected to compete for a spot on the USA Basketball U17 National Team ahead of the FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup.
Similar to Thompson, 2026 guard Jermal Jones Jr. saw a huge update boost to debut at 56th overall in the rankings, after previously being disqualified. Jones has been a standout on the EYBL circuit this AAU season, averaging 17.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 53% from the field and 40% from three-point range for Jet Academy.
Purdue was one of the first Power 5 offers on his list, which also includes Cal, Cincinnati, Jacksonville State and Southern.
An AAU teammate of Taylen Kinney on the Wildcat Select, four-star point guard Jonathan Sanderson, moved up three spots to 57th in the country on Rivals150. The 6-foot-1 guard is another prospect Purdue offered last year and has been around since the beginning of his recruitment.
Sanderson also has offers from West Virginia, Notre Dame, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and others.
One of the Boilermakers’ most recent offers was sent to four-star point guard Felipe Quinoneswho jumped six spots to 73rd in the updated rankings as his recruitment also continues to increase.
Purdue offered Quinones in May, shortly after playing in the EYBL Indianapolis with Jet Academy alongside Jermal Jones Jr.and performed well in front of the assistant coach Paulo Lusk. Quinones averaged a team-high 18.8 points per game for Jet Academy before the break from AAU action this month. He also suited up for his hometown of Puerto Rico in the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup, where Purdue freshman Daniel Jacobsen did the same for Team USA.
Quinones also received offers from Baylor, Michigan, Cincinnati, Memphis, Cal, Ole Miss and UCF, along with the Boilermakers.
Arguably the state’s top 2026 prospect and four-star guard Steven Reynolds III fell in the new ranking, dropping 18 positions, to 80th in the country. While that may be the case now, the South Bend Washington product should see its shares rise again in the future.
Purdue was Reynolds’ first Power 5 offer and gave him the opportunity to become the fourth member of his family to call West Lafayette home. His sisters Amiyah and Mila are currently members of the women’s basketball team, while another sister Kira will join them in 2025.
Along with the Boilermakers, Reynolds also holds offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Illinois, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Penn State and others. He is also catching the attention of USA Basketball as he plans to make the U17 National Team.
Another prospect that netted an offer from the Boilermakers earlier in the cycle is the Illinois standout Gabriel Sularski. The four-star guard fell in the rankings, dropping 17 spots, but still remains in the top 100, coming in at 89th in the country. Sularski has other offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.
Purdue has been looking to get into Texas recently with a few new offers, one of them being four-star guard Bo Ogdenwho added the Boilermakers scholarship after his performance at the 3SSB parade in Texas last month.
The ASAK Elite standout averaged 15.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 41% from the field through the end of May on the AAU circuit.
Ogden has three other offers from Power 5 Texas, where his father Chris is the general manager of the Longhorns, Providence and SMU. The Austin native also has offers from Texas State, Stephen F. Austin and UTEP.
