You can add another visit to your UNC basketball recruiting calendar.

After two players have already scheduled official visits for September, North Carolina will welcome another recruit to campus. But this time it’s immediate.

Five-star point guard Jasper Johnson is on the North Carolina campus Wednesday for Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan. Johnson’s family confirmed that the recruit is on campus for a visit just months after he took an official visit to Chapel Hill for the first UNC-Duke game of the year:

Jasper Johnson is taking a trip back to Chapel Hill. The 6-foot-5 five-star guard in the Class of 2025 will be in Chapel Hill on Wednesday, his family confirmed to Inside Carolina.

Since Johnson’s offer last September, the UNC staff has made it a priority to continue scouting him with his Bronson (Mo.) Link Academy team and on the travel circuit with the Thad team. Johnson made an official visit to Chapel Hill in February in conjunction with the UNC-Duke game at the Smith Center.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound point guard plays at Link Academy in Missouri, the same school as current UNC players James Brown and Elliot Cadeua. He was teammates with Brown for one season at Link Academy.

With 21 offers, Johnson has attracted the attention of several major programs and has made eight visits to date. Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia Tech and West Virginia have received or will receive a visit in addition to UNC.

Johnson is ranked No. 13 overall, the No. 2 point guard and No. 1 player in the state of Missouri according to the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings.
