Ahead of its move to the SEC, the Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team continues to make moves. On Thursday, the team learned that former Kansas State Wildcats forward Arthur Kaluma would transfer to Austin for the 2024-25 season.

Last season, Kaluma averaged 14.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his lone season at Kansas State. He played for Creighton for two seasons before his transfer to Manhattan. Kaluma has career averages of 12.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Kaluma joins a team that already included Julina Larry, Tramon Mark, Jayson Kent and Jordan Pope.

Coach Rodney Terry’s lineup looks like they could be ready to make some noise in the new SEC. The Longhorns have added players from Villanova, Indiana State, Arkansas, Oregon State and now Kansas State.

The current transfer class is ranked 19th in the 247Sports Team’s composite basketball rankings.

Projected starting five for the Texas Longhorns

  • PG: Jordan Papa

  • SG: Tre Johnson

  • SF: Tramon Mark

  • PF: Arthur Kaluma

  • C: Kadin Shedrick
