The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program will battle some blue bloods in a recruitment for a rising power forward in the Recruiting Class of 2025.
Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels tendered four-star forward Nikolas Khamenia in May, officially entering the draft. But the talented recruit has attracted a lot of interest since then and now rival UNC is also involved.
O Duke Blue Demons have officially offered the talented recruit, he announced Sunday night, capping off a busy June for college basketball recruiting. With Duke’s offer, Khamenia has 23 offers in his recruitment, including some big programs involved.
With offers from UNC, Duke, Kansas and UCLA, the only blue blood not to offer is Kentucky. But that could soon change.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Khamenia also has offers of Oregon, Notre Dame,Arizona, Michigan, Ohio Stateand Louisville, among others. He is a rising recruit who is seeing his stock rise higher and higher due to his play in recent events.
Khamenia is ranked 29th nationally, 9th as a forward and third in the state of California, according to the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings for 2025.
UNC has yet to land a commitment for the 2025 recruiting class, but now it appears they are gearing up for a big battle with some blue bloods in this draft.
